CBAM reports detail The detail page shows, for each commodity code imported during the period, the total volume imported, as well as the corresponding total direct and indirect emissions, based on the data available.
CBAM requires actual supplier data to be used for the reports. However, CBAMBOO operates on a ‘best available data’ basis. This means that if actual emissions data is not available, it will fall back to using default values.
This page will show a green ‘Ready’ badge if all the data required to create the CBAM report is available for that commodity code. If there is data missing, it shows warnings indicating the issue identified. These are whether the supplier is unmapped (see the Map supplier section), or if default values are being used. You can view the detail for each commodity code, such as whom the supplier is, by clicking on an individual row, or by clicking on the ‘Show suppliers’.

Snapshots

It’s important to keep a record of the CBAM reports submitted by the company, as well as the detail of the data that was submitted at that time. This is handled by the ‘snapshots’ functionality. Every time a CBAM report is generated (via the Download XML) button, a ‘snapshot’ is created.
A CBAM Report snapshot is a copy of the XML generated at that time. This file contains all the information related to your imports and the detail of the emissions data provided by your suppliers.
You can view the available snapshots by clicking on the ‘View Snapshots’ button. This opens up a sidebar which contains a table with information regarding your snapshots, including the user who created it, when it was created, and summary statistics around the data that it contains. Downloading the XML

The last step is to download the XML version of your CBAM report. This downloads as a ZIP file. The ZIP needs to be uploaded to the European Commission’s Transitional Registry. When you complete this process, you will be able to submit your CBAM report and avoiding most of the manual typing that would otherwise be required.
An XML (Extended Markup Language) file is used for computer-to-computer communication. This is the format that has been chosen by the European Commission for submitting data on to their platform and avoiding manual entry.
